Education: Bachelor of Arts in Strategic Communication (Advertising) with a minor in Social SciencesI’ve never been satisfied with being “good enough” or “average”.Like many people, I took Pre-AP and AP classes in high school. When these classes no longer challenged me, I decided to graduate a year early and pursue a college education.At 17 years old, I became the youngest female manager of a Little Caesars and worked full-time while taking a full course load at Tarrant County Community College.While earning my Bachelor’s Degree in Strategic Communication (a.k.a. advertising) from the University of North Texas, I co-founded SWOOP Agency, a student-run and managed Advertising and Public Relations agency. Later, I gained even more experience working for Fay Fleming, the owner of The Business Performance Company.After graduation, I was hired on with Proterra Advertising, where I was promoted to Account Executive. I helped acquire two of the agency's key accounts (45% of their annual revenue) and was later promoted to Account Manager.Again, I’ve never been satisfied with “good enough” or “average.”Knowing this, and with a desire to more directly and positively impact the lives of others, I made a career change and became a High School English Teacher working with at-risk, inner-city populations. Within my first six months of teaching, I successfully doubled my student’s state testing scores and pass rate percentages. I did this while filling two full-time teaching positions, earning my teaching certification, and teaching a four-hour night session for adults.After six years of teaching, I re-entered the corporate world as a Sales & Program Director for Premier Martial Arts. Within my first six months, I took over an additional location, managing the sales, marketing, advertising, events and programs for both schools. I bring high levels of strategic thinking, effective management, and efficiency to my work, regardless of industry or role, and, as you can imagine, I never settle for less.
