Partnerships Coordinator
Secretariat Central is a full-service association management firm that specializes in not-for-profit and charitable organizations in the healthcare sector. I coordinate partnership, sponsorship and conference exhibitor agreements with for-profit and non-profit organizations for 10+ provincial and national non-profit healthcare and scientific organizations. I specialize in ensuring all partnership and sponsorship agreements uphold the highest ethical standards in accordance with university, provincial and national level Codes of Ethics. I act as liaison between sponsors and all other departments, including finance, event coordination, association management, and Board members. I ensure the successful administration of all deliverables to ensure optimal outcomes for both association and sponsor.I also work with the Events team as an Event Coordinator, managing all aspects of province-wide and nation-wide conferences and Scientific Meetings, from planning to execution. I utilize my background in science and research to analyze data and prepare reports, organize scientific abstracts for publication and coordinate scientific poster presentations. I am proficient with multiple event registration platforms and experienced in running virtual and in-person events.
Senior Research & Education Coordinator
When the Liberation75 conference scheduled for spring of 2020 was cancelled due to the pandemic, a new mission was developed: to bring Holocaust remembrance and education to the virtual space. I joined the team to successfully execute a five-day virtual conference and 10-day virtual film festival with 125 speakers, over 100 programs and films, and all entirely for free to our 30,000 attendees from more than 45 countries across six continents. We debuted a three-day Professional Development Symposium for teachers and two-day Student Education Days, focusing on how best to educate students of all ages about the Holocaust and discrimination, and how students can recognize and fight hate in their own communities. These events in addition to other educational programs were attended by 400,000+ students and 500+ teachers from across five continents, including the northmost communities in the Canadian territories and nearly every US state. I then created our Virtual Holocaust Library, with which we are offering our programs and digital content from world-leading Holocaust organizations, museums, educators, artists, and Holocaust Survivors year-round for free online. This resource is constantly evolving in order to best serve our mission: collaboration and education for a hate-free future.I have partnered with Canadian and US-based researchers to investigate the outcomes of Holocaust education in schools and the impact our programs have on students' tolerance and compassion for their peers of all religions, orientations and backgrounds. We plan to use this information to guide future educational directives and collaborations. We are currently partnered with Steven Spielberg's Shoah Foundation, spearheading the Canadian "Last Chance Collection" to record and preserve the testimonies of Canada's remaining Holocaust Survivors. If you know a Holocaust Survivor who would like to record their testimony, please contact us at chelsea@liberation75.org!
