I joined Cornwall Stodart in August 2008 as Special Counsel and became a member of the Partnership in July 2009.My recent work includes acting for and advising:• on the acquisition of a major aviation services business;• on the acquisition of a mining services company based in Western Australia;• on the merger of a media and publishing entity;• on the disposition by a listed public company of part of its business and assets;• on the spin-off and IPO of a mining company;• a private investment company in its off-market takeover of a listed pooled development fund • a US company listed on the OTC Bulletin Board in its on-market takeover of an ASX listed Australian mining company (North Australian Diamonds Ltd) • several listed ASX companies in capital raisings and rights issues • a multinational civil contracting company in its acquisition of an Australian asphalt manufacturing and road construction business, including obtaining FIRB and ACCC clearances • various companies on joint ventures regarding mining tenements and property-related investments • freight transport
