10 Days in Dublin is an open-format, multi-disciplinary arts festival. The festival is in its third year and includes over 200 acts across over 50 venues in Dublin. The festival is taking place this year from the 4th to the 13th of July. I joined the team as a P.R. Officer and to date have been responsible for maintaining the festival’s social media accounts, contacting suitable Media outlets to ensure exposure for the festival. Maintaining and establishing media contacts, both print and media. Contact point for various performers within the festival. Distribution of various material, such as the 10 Days in Dublin publication to relevant key points in Dublin City Centre.

This campaign was set up to reverse the decision to amalgamate Gorey and Enniscorthy Garda Districts. • Creating and maintaining a social media presence for the campaign. Within one week from implementation the campaign’s Facebook page had over 1432 likes.• Communicating and maintaining relationships with relevant media outlets, including local publications and radio. The campaign secured regular front page exposure in the Gorey Guardian and Gorey Echo, as well as regular interview features on South East Radio.• Successful organisation of the Campaign’s public meetings in various locations in Gorey, Co. Wexford. There were over 500 people present at our first meeting in the Ashdown Park Hotel including Senator Michael Darcy and TD Mick Wallace.

Stradbally Hall Christmas Fair was in its second year and takes place in the Manor House of Stradbally Estate, home of Electric Picnic. The fair was established by owner Gesa Wahnschaffe, who wanted to promote local Arts and Crafts.• Implemented a strategic social media campaign to involve and promote the event to the local and surrounding communities. Developed a ‘Like and Share Competition’ on Facebook to win two tickets to Electric Picnic 2013.• Issued press releases to the relevant media, both local and national. The event gained coverage in the Irish Times, Laois Nationalist and various Church Newsletters• Designed posters and other promotional material needed for the event.

A charity event for Irish Cancer Society held in the Amber Springs Hotel, Gorey. Raised €3500 for the Irish Cancer Society.• Successfully delivered the event on time and within budget• Communicated with the Hotel and Event Manager of the Amber Springs Hotel to ensure the successful running of the event.• Sourced local stores to participate in the event. Nine local retail outlets took place in the event.• Organised ticket sales, with various outlets in the area. Successfully sold over 300 tickets to the event.
