Project investigation: The effect of bio-pharmaceuticals on microbial resistance in wastewater treatment facilities.Project details:Created microcosms with varying conditions and carried out bacterial enumeration.Conducted serial dilutions and DNA extraction, followed by PCR analysis, which involved calculating a PCR master mix.To visualize the PCR products, DNA gel electrophoresis was carried out and examined in a UV transilluminator. Restrictive enzyme digestion was used and DNA samples were sent for TRFLP data analysis.Additional skills enhanced:Reading and interpreting scientific papers.Analyzing and interpreting data.

Supervised the lab experiments of second year students, while in the final year of my undergraduate course.
