Co-Founder + Director of the Wellness and Learning Collective, Sinéad Cunningham from Meanjin (Brisbane), is an award winning domestic + sexual violence primary prevention specialist, with an extensive background in women's health, education, training + consulting. In addition, Sinéad is an experienced mental health psychosocial recovery coach + support coordinator, director, communications expert, proactive leader, advocacy + support, project + events management, community development + services for both government and not-for-profits for over two decades.​A dynamic, values driven, innovative, creative, passionate, and high performing professional, Sinéad is committed to ending gender-based violence. She has years of experience as a primary prevention specialist, an accredited Our Watch trainer, psychodrama, and therapeutic art + life coach, in addition to her vast roles in government organisations such as child safety + schools, NGO’s, community groups, queer groups + organisations, and production companies such as Horse + Duke, together with her experience as President + Vice President of Brisbane Pride Choir.​It is Sinéad’s ardent belief that to end violence against ALL women, [cis + trans, inclusive of nonbinary] and children, we must understand how gender inequality and other forms of discrimination intersect to shape people’s experiences of violence. Taking an intersectional approach to prevention means considering oppression such as racism, ableism, homophobia, transphobia, and ageism. She is dedicated to systemic change, primarily for the advancement of equality and safety, and change that focuses on challenging all forms of discrimination, violence, and oppression.​​​
