I was brought into this executive role to build and direct the influencer marketing and paid social product offerings from its inception.

In this high-level advisory role, I assisted clients in navigating the ever-changing landscape of digital marketing, social media strategy, influencer strategy, and paid media execution. I provided vision and leadership—presenting bold marketing ideas grounded in data-driven innovation and product marketing insights. Clients included Valassis, Homedics, Ao Skincare, Atlantic Coast Brands and GA-DE Cosmetics.In addition to digital and social media marketing, I steered some clients through the end-to-end product lifecycle and offered guidance and direction for TV shopping (QVC, HSN, Evine), e-commerce, and large-scale retail distribution for the beauty industry.

Created the organization and community from scratch by tapping a vast personal network of C-suite executives and other stakeholders in the beauty space, including leaders of some of the most notable brands in the industry: Sephora, Benefit, Kendo, Rodan + Fields, L’Oreal, Unilever, and Coty as well as manufacturers and venture capital / private equity firms. Organized countless sold-out quarterly events and webinars that united the beauty industry and the various verticals in the Bay Area.

I stepped into this role after selling iFabbo (an influencer marketing company) to Women’s Marketing (now dba as Stella Rising). In this position, I planned and directed the West Coast expansion effort for this media planning, strategy, and buying agency. Drawing on years of experience in marketing and business development, I increased visibility, drove sales, and cultivated partnerships with media agencies, advertising technology companies, venture capital groups, and private equity firms.

Soon after creating and scaling Beautisol, my previous startup, launched in 2009, I recognized the value of my influencer relationships. In 2010, I engendered a spinoff, iFabbo (stands for International Fashion & Beauty Bloggers Organization), to meet increasing demands for companies to reach consumers through influencer marketing.Our technology platform allowed influencers to effortlessly receive products as PR samples and in return post product reviews and content providing global brands with earned media content and coveted consumer insights. It also managed complex logistics on the back end, ensuring that influencers could seamlessly request, receive, test, and tout the latest products from brands like BECCA Cosmetics, Dermalogica, L’Oréal, Perlier, Rodan + Fields, and others.Our impressive and influential network expanded to 3,000+ beauty, fashion, and lifestyle influencers / content creators with vast consumer reach around the world. In addition, our credibility grew through relationships and strategic alliances with key players such as Adobe, Facebook, Google, ModCloth, PopSugar, Poshmark, and Spreecast. We held annual conferences in San Francisco (#ifabbosfcon) and London (#ifabboukcon - before hashtags were a thing!)

>> Acquired by Five Crowns Capital in 2015.I developed the concept and go-to-market strategy for a luxury self-tanning brand and product line, and embraced an innovative approach to almost every stage of the business, creating one of the first crowdsourced products on the market. As a member of the influencer community, I had the unique perspective and ability to tap the bloggersphere to explode the brand across the web, resulting in a distribution deal with HSN. This feat was both successful and groundbreaking—through Beautisol, I was one of the first individuals to receive thousands of product reviews in just a few months.Beautisol grew from blog to $2.5M brand in three years. In 2010, we ranked as one of the Top 5% New Product Launches on HSN. I served as spokesperson on HSN for four years, and as an advisor to Five Crowns Capital following the exit in 2015.

Oversaw the US and Canadian territory for education and events. Helped with the repositioning and elevation of the brand within all retail partners prior to the acquisition from Lloyds Development Capital (LDC) to PZ Cussons.

Worked with small to medium size beauty and fashion brands in marketing, brand development, business development, international distribution and sales. Clients included Asha Couture and Mineral Essence.

I started out as an educator and then moved in sales and sales management. The last role at the company I was Sales Director for the West Coast, ran a $4M dollar region with 4 sales reps and 2 educators reporting to me. Grew territory over 260% in 2 years.
