Samarth Singh is a PhD Candidate in Systems and Information Engineering at University of Virginia, where they are conducting research on multi-objective optimization for reservoir operations in the energy-water nexus. They aim to find optimal policy decisions that balance the trade-offs between hydropower generation, water supply, and environmental flows.With a background in Computer Science from Birla Institute of Technology Mesra and a year of industry experience as a R&D Engineer at Tejas Networks, Samarth has developed strong skills in Statistical and Stochastic Modeling, Reinforcement Learning, and Data Science. They have also applied their skills to various projects, such as feature extraction for infectious diseases, carbon sequestration, and network management systems. They are passionate about solving complex and real-world problems using data-driven and systems-oriented approaches.
