As a Data Scientist with 6 years of experience, I have a passion for utilizing data to drive insights and solve business problems. My career started with Infosys, where I was part of the core R&D team and worked on developing and researching multiple prototypes and working solutions, some of which we deployed on the Google Play Store as part of the Infosys App.Then I worked as a Data Scientist with R Systems International, where I worked on a variety of projects such as Document Digitalization using Object Detection. I have also worked on different Deep Learning tasks such as horizontal, vertical, and cross lines removal from images containing transactional data, and removal of unnecessary artifacts/noise from the images.One of the major achievements was document digitalization using the Object Detection project. The client had millions of records of customers containing PHI Information. The existing process was expensive and time-consuming. We used Deep Learning and conventional methods to solve this bottleneck. We employed various image processing techniques to improve the quality of the images, including Deep Learning models to remove unnecessary artifacts and straight and cross lines from the images. We also used YOLO Object Detection techniques to detect the textual area from the image, which increased the text extraction accuracy by manifolds.I also worked on Heart Disease prediction using the PPG project, where we collaborated with a Diagnostic Solutions provider based in the US who employs physical devices, including Pulse Oximeters, to collect PPG (Photoplethysmography) data and other critical patient information. The provider required a solution to anticipate heart disease symptoms based on PPG readings. To accomplish this, we utilized the dataset provided by the client and extracted features through the First and Second derivatives of PPG data. Subsequently, we trained models for predicting heart disease in patients utilizing Deep Neural Networks (DNNs) and Gradient Boosting Machines (GBMs). My expertise lies in various areas, including Natural Language Processing (NLP), Optical Character Recognition (OCR), Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Keras, Docker, Python, Apache Spark, Deep Learning, and Machine Learning.
