About Parmeet Singh

I am a Quantum Computing and Machine Learning researcher with a focus on Quantum Machine Learning (QML) and its applications on NISQ devices. As a graduate student at IIT Delhi, my current research centers around Quantum Bernoulli Factories and utilization of Deep Learning in Agent Based Simulation for infectious diseases. During my time as a QML Engineer Intern at BosonQ Psi, I led the development of quantum-enhanced machine learning algorithms for quality control, integrating both classical and quantum methods with hands-on expertise in TensorFlow, PennyLane, and Qiskit. I have also contributed as a research intern under renowned professors, working on Quantum Boosting algorithms and Density Functional Theory (DFT). As a Qiskit Advocate, I’ve mentored participants in global quantum challenges and delivered talks on advanced quantum algorithms and AI. My interest in Computational Material Science drives me to explore novel materials using DFT and other computational techniques, with a focus on quantum applications. I am passionate about advancing the frontiers of AI and quantum computing to tackle complex, real-world challenges.

  • Bosonq Psi (Bqp)
    Quantum Computing Intern
Bosonq Psi (Bqp) May 2023 - Jan 2024
Led the development of quantum image classification algorithms for quality control. Created quantum convolutional layers, which improved performance compared to classical analogs. Deployed Quantum Convolutional Neural Networks (QCNNs) using PennyLane and TensorFlow, integrating transfer learning to enhance their effectiveness. Additionally, I played a role in developing client pitches, which led to long-term engagements by demonstrating the potential for operational efficiency improvements through quantum solutions.
  • Delhi Technological University (Formerly Dce)
    Research Intern
Delhi Technological University (Formerly Dce) Oct 2022 - Oct 2023
Analyzing Vacancy ordered double perovskite Cs2SnI6 under high pressure(0 to 20 GPa) using first principle calculations in VASP. Primarily focusing on optimizing the optoelectronic properties for applications in Photovoltaic devices.Published in AIP conference proceedings
  • Indraprastha Institute Of Information Technology, Delhi
    Research Intern @ Braqiiit Lab
Indraprastha Institute Of Information Technology, Delhi Sep 2021 - May 2022
Project: Quantum Boosting using domain partitioning hypothesis Proposed a new Quantum Boosting algorithm, QRealBoost which boosts weak PAC learners. QRealBoost provides a quadratic speedup over AdaBoost and further achieves a polynomial speedup over QAdaBoost in terms of both the bias of the learner and the time taken by the learner to learn the target concept class.Designed the first-ever implementation of quantum boosting algorithms QRealBoost and QAdaBoost. Experiments conducted on real-life data sets using QISKIT showed up to 30% accuracy improvement over classical counterpartsResearch fndings were presented at QTC'21 and QTML'22 (Italy), with the paper published in QMI, SpringerGuide: Dr. Debajyoti Bera
