Rakesh Singh is a Principal in the Technology Consulting practice of EY. He has over 20 years’ experience focusing on optimizing IT organization spend by evaluating and recommending cost reduction opportunities, aligning IT Investments to business objectives, designing target IT Operating models, and developing IT Strategies. He has implemented these services during Mergers and Acquisitions, Bankruptcies, Global IT Transformation initiatives to move IT services into a centralized organization. He has provided these services across several industries including insurance, banking, aerospace manufacturing, pharmaceuticals, healthcare and education.

Most recently, Mr. Singh worked with a Utility Services company to evaluate their Financials/GL solution. He conducted a vendor selection project to evaluate SaaS Financials/GL solutions in the market to reduce the 5 year total cost of ownership, improve reporting capability and increase scalability from the current solution. Mr. Singh utilized industry best practices to evaluate the client’s requirements and recommend a vendor to achieve a 30% savings YoY. Mr. Singh worked with a $5B aero space company to restructure the companies IT Operations to emerge from bankruptcy by carving out the commercial and defense businesses to prepare the company for sale . He focused on preparing the carve-out of the all IT Services and migration of key applications into two operating companies.

I help our clients identify Cost Optimization opportunities utilizing Claritia’s proprietary IT Cost Transparency Solution. We help our customers optimize IT Budgeting and Forecasting process for our clients utilizing Claritia’s IT Financial Management Solution and we evaluate our clients IT Spend utilizing Claritia’s IT Cost Transparency solution. I work with Claritia's product team to design, manage the Claritia’s products including the IT Spend Baseline, IT Cost Reduction, IT Budgeting and Tracking, IT Cost Analysis, IT Benchmarking and What-If Analysis products. I also developed Claritia's implementation and setup process for Claritia’s products for each of our clients. We know every client is different and we customize our solution to meet our customers needs through our consultative approach to set up our products with our customers.

I have experience in IT Transformations, Mergers & Acquisitions and IT Financial Management projects at Accenture's IT Strategy practice. I have helped companies during large multi-year Transformations and Merger and Acquisitions by developing the IT PMO organization, designing a Operating and Organization Model, conducting Portfolio Analysis and identifying future cost savings through financial analysis. I have also identified how organizations may reduce cost by centralizing several IT functions, evaluating IT Spend through benchmarking, developing sourcing strategies and developing business cases to identify cost optimization opportunities. In total I have analyzed well over 1 Billion in IT Spending across industries within the Fortune 500.

I participated in the evaluation and proposal completing the business case and analysis to source a large Financial Services organizations applications offshore. We secured the deal approximately $100m over 5 years to maintain majority of the companies applications offshore. I also focused on designing and developing enterprise applications for fortune 100 financial services companies that reduced the cost to process and operate key functions within the IT Organization and financial products. I also designed rapid cost cutting measure to reduce the operation spend for key mortgage based products for a large financial services client.

Provided consulting services on the development of enterprise applications for financial services companies. I provided testing, design, and development activities and completed several report development activities. I migrated, tested and reviewed Financial Reports.
