Led the operational strategy for planning and executing a state level COVID -19 intervention in Patna, Bihar. Liaised with the Bihar state government for access to allow MSF to carry out emergency medical intervention for COVID – 19 and set up a 100 bed temporary hospital inside a stadium for treatment of positive cases in Patna. Managed and supervised the recruitment and orientation of a total staff of 180 employees including medical, paramedical and non-medical recruits for the project.

Supported the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways in bringing amendments to the Motor Vehicles Act, managed drafting of state specific legislations and developed policy documents as well as conducted in-depth research on road safety in India. Liaised with a wide variety of stakeholders on policy interventions on road safety and represented data in a visually interesting manner to the general public and media.

As a legal affairs correspondent with the Times of India, I was responsible for overall delivery of legal news with a sharp focus on Gender based sexual violence and women rights violations for the newspaper. My work profile included planning, strategizing, and implementing media campaigns on human rights violations, legal and field research, drafting stories, and coordinating inter departmental inputs for comprehensive analysis of policies and gender laws. I did several investigative stories on Indian judiciary, global laws on human rights, and extensively wrote on women’s rights. As a journalist in the national capital, I have been able to develop a strong understanding of Gender based sexual violence. Most of my work has been on the crime against women in the national capital. I have done various analytical stories on the gender issues ranging from laws on domestic violence in India to sexual harassment at workplace.
