In my experience at Boston University, we focused on the intricate bioinformatics analysis of ncRNA cluster, where I honed my expertise in differential expression analysis using tools like DiffBind and EdgeR. Contributing to the understanding of epigenetic marks, I've developed a proficiency in pathway analysis, enriching my knowledge of KEGG and GO pathways using ClusterProfiler and ChIPseeker packages in R. Currently, I'm also practicing scRNA-seq data analysis using both Python and R, learning about the integration of NGS analysis with the wet-lab results to obtain and validate our research goals and objectives. With a background in Microbiology, my journey transitioned from medical lab technology, where we processed COVID-19 samples using RT-PCR, to a fascination with bioinformatics. As I pursue my Master's degree, my goal is to delve deeper into this field, leveraging my skills in data analysis to contribute to advancements in precision medicine and cancer therapeutics.

I researched how bacteria evoke physical defense mechanisms by amplifying biofilm formation. After differential proteomics studies, it was established that GlmU, a bifunctional enzyme plays a vital role in the increase of biofilm formation amongst all the upregulated proteins. The hypothesis was further tested with replicate species of M. smegmatis Ms::glmU merodiploid strain and Ms*glmU conditional deletion mutant strain, results of which dignify that its upregulation caused a significant increase in biofilm formation.
