About Sinh Le

Sinh Le recently completed the Trans-Atlantic dual degree program in International Relations and Development Policy. In this area he specialized in International Security with a focus on North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) and security issues in the Asia-Pacific region. In terms of Development Policy, he strongly focused on global health and local governance in developing countries. His research areas extended to include international security and political economy issues in Europe and Asia with emphasis on existing and emerging challenges to NATO and regional stability in Southeast Asia. He wrote his Master’s Thesis: “NATO Candidate Countries and Private Military Firms: Tighten the Bind?”Prior to this, Sinh was a Peace Corps Volunteer in Moldova, where he taught Health as a full-time teacher. In that role he also worked closely with local partners to formulate and implement policies and activities regarding sanitation, nutrition, maternal and child health. He led a grant-writing team to generate US$ 8500 in grant funding for school’s efforts to improve child health. After the Peace Corps, Sinh has also held positions at the World Health Organization (WHO) in Geneva and at the U.S. Department of State in New York. At the WHO, he diligently analyzed and evaluated nutrition policies and strategies of the core UN agencies in 21 countries. The results of his work were published in an official United Nations Report on nutrition. In his most recent position at the Office of Foreign Missions, Sinh developed a comprehensive approach to collecting and filing data for the Diplomatic Motor Vehicle Program and served as an intermediary with diplomatic clients applicants to decide the validity and acceptability in relation to laws, regulation, and procedures associated with the issuance of tax exemption cards, driver licenses, and DMV car titles.
