Heading the daily operations, quality improvement programs, staff training programs, and major refurbishment project of a hotel with 156 rooms, 3 food and beverage outlets, conference and banqueting facilities, commercial space, gym and pool. Overall responsibility for finance, marketing, sales, human resources and guest relations. Agura Hotel is the first hotel in Abuja (capital of Nigeria), and was previously a Golden Tulip Hotel. The hotel was in need of total refurbishment and re-positioning in both the local and international market when I took on the position as General Manager. An important part of my assignment is to create new concepts for marketing and sales, design, service and food and beverage, in order to re-brand and re-position the hotel. Strategic Consultant for DIK Fitness Academy - overseeing the plan to build professional training facilities and sport hotels in university towns and other key locations throughout Nigeria. Ensuring financing through government funds and loans, providing project plans, financial forecasts and budgets. The first training facility is under construction in Owerri (regional capital of Imo Sate, Nigeria)

Held daily meetings with representatives of head contractor and sub contractors and reported back to the owners. Handed over to majority owner when he settled in Dar es Salaam December 2009.
