Risk assessor in NAMI-project (Antimicrobial Resistance and Residues on Cattle Farms – Effect on the Environment and Health).

Title of the thesis: Exposure assessment of oxytetracycline via products from cattle and swineLanguage: FinnishIn my master's thesis basic information of tetracyclines, such as their chemical structure and functionality, is presented. Additionally, the effect of the route of oxytetracycline administration on the efficiency and how oxytetracycline concentrations in the animal can be mathematically modelled are briefly reviewed. Theoretical maximum daily intake via products from cattle and swine (meat, liver and milk) is also assessed.

I was a process worker in the Coffee Division of Paulig Group. My tasks consisted of packing coffee with an industrial coffee packing machine and taking samples for the quality control. I also got to participate in a development project. This two-shift work required good group working skills and problem solving skills. Olin tehdastyöntekijänä Paulig-konsernin Kahvidivisioonassa. Työ vaati hyviä ryhmätyöskentely- ja ongelmanratkaisutaitoja. Kyseessä oli kaksivuorotyö.

I worked as a laboratorian in Okmetic Oyj. My tasks consisted of the quality control of the silicon wafers, analyzing and reporting the results in clean room environment. On top of that, I got to take part in the preparation of the special research samples. This work demanded systematic thingking because there were many different samples to analyze during the day.Työskentelin laboranttina Okmetic Oyj -yrityksessä. Työtehtäviini kuului piikiekkojen laadunvarmistus, tulosten analysointi ja raportointi puhdashuoneessa. Lisäksi osallistuin erikoistutkimusnäytteiden valmistamiseen. Työ vaati järjestelmällisyyttä, sillä päivän aikana oli monia erilaisia näytteitä käsiteltävänä.

I worked as a processor in a silicon wafer production line in Okmetic Oyj. My tasks consisted of ocular quality control, washing, surface quality control and packing of the silicon wafers in a clean room environment. Due to the high quality requirements, these tasks demanded lot of caution. I worked in three shifts and after summer I continued as a part-time worker. Toimin prosessoijana Okmetic Oyj -yrityksessä. Koska tuotteilla on erittäin korkeat laatuvaatimukset, työtehtävät vaativat suurta huolellisuutta. Kyseessä oli kolmivuorotyö ja kesätuurauksen jälkeen työskentelin osa-aikaisena.
