I am a Registered Social Worker and a second-generation Eezha-Tamil who is dedicated to my profession and the communities within which I am embedded. I draw from my interdisciplinary academic background in Social Work, Indigenous Studies, and Sociology to serve diverse communities. I place importance on social work values for social justice and human rights. Working from Anti-Racist and Anti-Oppressive frameworks, I advocate for social change in my practice.I have spent the last five years as a social worker supporting adults with sickle cell disease and thalassemia — inherited blood disorders that, in the Global North, disproportionately impact Black, racialized, and newcomer peoples.
