I am a graduate fellow at the Ophthalmic Biophysics Center (OBC) currently pursuing my Doctoral degree. My research is geared toward understanding the gradient index of the lens to help understand the mechanism of accommodation. In short, I develop algorithms and package it as software so that we can understand why people lose the ability to see objects that are near.• Developed multiple automated image processing programs using MATLAB that reduced data processing time by 75% on average • Collaborated with teams across 3 continents to implement research initiatives of R01 grant• Implemented data infrastructure to enable permissions based global access to 5+ TB for multiple researchers• Collaboratively developed a workflow for acquiring, analyzing, tabulating, and storingdata for over 100 human eyes• Developed a MATLAB application for wavefront reconstruction using data from a novel laserray tracing (LRT) system• Developed a novel automated algorithm for segmenting the anterior segment ofhuman eyes in 3D using in-vivo OCT images• Developed automated image algorithms for segmenting the exterior boundary of ex-vivohuman and monkey lenses from both OCT images and photographs• Assisted with branding, presentation, and transfer of 2 research discoveries from bench top to commercial market
