One question I often get asked is why an engineer started designing lingerie. After working as a science writer for several years, I became more aware of climate change and also extremely depressed about the impacts our everyday choices have on the environment, from the food we eat to the clothing we wear and everything else. I started looking more deeply at my choices and what I could do to make a difference. When it came to clothing, I discovered there weren’t many options, particularly for items like underwear. So as an engineer, I immediately wanted to solve the problem. I thought why not do something about it and it went from there. I believe we all need to make better choices for ourselves and the planet, which should start with the first thing we put on in the morning.
