My new role involves the strategic and operational management of MSLETB's Sales and Craft Butchery apprenticeships. It also includes new programme development as well as promoting good practice in teaching, learning and assessment, something I am very passionate about. MSLETB as members of the respective CSGs have been approved to develop in conjunction with industry specialists, 2 new apprenticeships - an NFQ Level 6 Digital Marketing and Media apprenticeship and an NFQ Level 6 Immersive Technology apprenticeship. Subject to validation we plan to deliver these apprenticeships in Q1 2024. ----‐-------------------------This exciting new role involves managing the design, development and subject to validation, the implementation of a new and innovative sales apprenticeship which is currently under development. This sales apprenticeship will be the first of its kind in Ireland and will be delivered using a blended mode of learning - combining workplace learning in a a leading organisation, workshops & tutorials in a classroom setting and online learning. This proposed apprenticeship programme is designed by the sales industry for the sales industry and MSLETB, as Coordinating Provider have collaborated with leading Irish organisations to develop an education programme strongly grounded in the practical experience of undertaking a real job in business. It is proposed as a 2 year academically robust yet vocationally relevant programme and subject to successful completion; the apprentice will be awarded a Level 6 Advanced Certificate in Sales. My previous role as Development Officer in the New Apprenticeship Support and Enhancement Unit in ETBI, involved delivering sectoral enhancement projects and initiatives, for the roll out and implementation of QQI validated Apprenticeships and Work Based Learning programmes in the ETBs. I am an experienced Programme Manager with a demonstrated history of working in education and have an extensive background in lecturing, training and programme design & development in undergraduate,postgraduate, CPD and corporate disciplines. I was the recipient of a National Teaching Hero Award 2014 from The National Forum for the Enhancement of Teaching and Learning in Higher Education and the Union of Students of Ireland and the recipient of the student led DBS Above & Beyond Lecturer of the Year Award 2016
