I identify and verify new and existing clients according to regulations stipulated by the FCA and internal policy guidelines, review and validate all client acquisition documentation including application forms, onboarding documents, company documents and source of income/source of wealth verification documents as well as other regulatory documentation. Our mandate covers both Client and Broker on-boarding including all anti-money laundering and financial crime checks. My team and I successfully enable client onboarding through to completion by performing all mandatory and regulatory checks. This includes completing pre-offer checks to ensure all regulatory requirements have been met and credit conditions have been satisfied, prior to sending out a loan offer to the client as well as undertaking security reviews, including obtaining searches from relevant sources and liaising with the legal team to assist in resolving issues.

I am part of a team that successfully enables client on boarding by performing all mandatory checks and reviews, in terms of Investec’s regulatory obligations, by way of consultation and operational processing. I identify and verify new and existing clients in terms of FICA, FATCA and CRS regulations, review and validate all client acquisition documentation including application forms, KYC documents as well as other regulatory documentation. I consult to clients and internal consultants on various requirements and respond to and follow up on client queries in addition to maintaining daily operational processes. My mandate includes the mitigation of risk and collaborating with all relevant stakeholders to our business.

I formed part of the analytical side of the Edcon warehousing team and am involved with all stock recon functions between systems. I analyzed reconciliation discrepancies and manage claim/credit note requests to suppliers for shortages and ensure that these are received timeously or escalated to Edcon Sourcing where not. I assisted with critical stock recons where necessary and ensure that all stock which has been ordered for Edcon is delivered to their distribution center (DC). I dealt with Blue Strata employees, the Durban DC employees, suppliers as well as Edcon employees on a daily basis.

I managed a team of six Key Account Administrators involved with the GUESS brand and the processing of orders for stock from various customers. Involved the management of the daily administrative duties as required by a line manager and ensured that any and all queries escalated to management were resolved. I assisted the administrators in their daily duties wherever necessary and was involved in management discussions regarding the functioning of my team and its role within the business as a whole.
