Leading a team of around 60 highly committed and dedicated infrastructure, roading, transport and traffic specialists to ensure Wellingtonians can safely and easily move around the city. My unit is accountable for the maintenance, renewal and refurbishment of all transport assets and infrastructure as well as the deployment of cycleways and safety.

• I was engaged by Wellington Electricity to lead the development of the business case and write the proposal to the Commerce Commission. My engagement included:
• Working with the engineering team to develop an economically robust business case for $32 million expenditure.
• Developing the stakeholder engagement plan.
• Engaging with a wide range of stakeholders on the proposed expenditure which garnered 14 letters of support for the proposal.
• Writing a “plain English” proposal

Established a new engineering team merging 3 teams of 33 engineers to better support our new grid operating model.Lifted engagement from 50% to 84% over a 12 months period.Led an efficiency programme to realise $24 million of cost savings over the next three years. Implemented a major hazard and customer site risk review process requiring thorough review.

Led the design and set up of the new Grid Operating Model which was central to a major company wide transformation program.Led the development of an $8 million Demand Response program - an innovative alternative to costly transmisison investsment.Effectively managed the relationship with the Commerce Commisison to ensure capital investment and recovery.
