Work in consulting/logistics at the Fairweather LLC base in Anchorage, AK. Performed extensive field data collection in the Arctic Ocean (Northeastern Chukchi Sea) in discipline areas of benthic ecology, zooplankton ecology, mammal and seabird observation, and ocean acidification. Skilled in at-sea sampling techniques across a wide variety of disciplines.

Designed a graduate research project aimed at augmenting an aquatic health baseline out of Homer, Alaska, focused on the parasite Ichthyophonus in Pacific halibut. Recipient of the North Pacific Research Board 2017 Graduate Research Assistantship for this work. Led field sampling trips during 2016 and 2017 which entailed; selecting, training, and managing field technicians, coordinating logistics and sampling procedures, regular interface with local community members and fishers, and performing aseptic tissue explants in the field. Conducted statistical analyses and prepared publication-ready manuscript. Successfully defended thesis work in April 2018 and graduated with Masters in Environmental Science Degree in May 2018. Masters research is in process of submission for publication, as of 2019.

Writing assistant and technical editor for FAST Lab student and staff. Assembled and provided technical editing services for documents including; theses, manuscripts, proposals, posters and presentations, and research and field plans. Provided formatting and technical assistance on submitted documents as well as one-on-one consultation in content preparation.

Assisted toxicity lab analysts with performing Whole Effluent Toxicity testing on water samples from various clients. Assisted in raising test organisms (fathead minnows, daphnia, and brine shrimp) according to EPA methods and standards.

• Designed entomological research projects with Dr. Tom Bultman. Topics included; effects of a fungal endophyte on an insect primary consumer, parasitoid host preference based on host diet, and fungal endophyte infection of Canada wild rye. (2008-2012)• Investigated the heavy metal content in street sweeper and catch basin waste in the Macatawa Watershed, MI using EPA standard collection, methodological, and analytical methods. Presented final work to the Macatawa Watershed Council. (2011)

Hope College Summer Research Program independent student project; Tritrophic Effects of a Fungal Endophyte: Parasitoid Host Preference. Work included deliverables: research proposal and design, data collection and analysis, authorship of in-house research paper, and final presentation to advisers and peers.

Worked with a large-scale land conservation and restoration team to identify, collect, distribute, process, record, and trade seeds of over 100 prairie, forest, and wetland plant species. Final deliverable included presenting a talk attended by all supervisors and internship sponsors. Created the Fermilab Natural Areas Facebook page.

Organized fraternity member documents and kept records of intra-fraternity "families". Also kept written and photographic records of fraternity service events in the campus and community.
