Originally from the state of Maryland, Sierra owns and operates Blackground, a professional workforce and talent development agency based in Bentonville that served enterprises and non-profits across the country. Sierra graduated from University of Maryland Eastern Shore with a degree in Accounting. Post graduate, Sierra relocated to Bentonville managing and supporting various business areas across the accounting, finance and human resource departments at Walmart headquarters. Some past focuses include financial product management in Omni-channel & e-Commerce accounting operations, financial data analysis, and HR transition processes related to talent benefits, compensation, acclimation/onboarding.Since that time, Sierra has worked in both the non-profit and public sectors on a range of projects from high school student to collegiate transition, to startups and entrepreneurship eco-system building, talent recruitment, community engagement and workforce development and enterprise management consulting.
