After creating a science fair for high school students in the middle of the Amazon region and a comic book to help HIV-infected children better understand why they take pills every day - I am now in the tech world doing tech support. Crazy, right? Before that, I also ended up getting my Econ degree, therefore, doing more econometrics than I thought I would ever be able to. You may not see how these experiences connect right away but the connections are there. In my current position, I learn a ton every day about the human side of the job, but I also play with data. I try my best to have data (big & small) supporting all the decisions I make, this way, I can do a fair before-and-after comparison - just like a good DID analysis in econometrics. I am just trying to say that I did not think I would be in a tech support team if you asked me a few years ago, but here I am. Embrace the opportunities you get and you will see your skills shine. :)
