I was appointed Senior Counsel of the Supreme Court of Singapore by the Chief Justice of Singapore in January 2019. I am currently a partner in the Dispute Resolution practice of Drew & Napier in Singapore and specialise in complex, high-value commercial disputes. I have more than 25 years of active trial and appellate practice in the Singapore courts and have litigated many landmark disputes before the Courts, including in areas as diverse as banking, consumer protection, debt restructuring and insurance. I am recognized in all the leading legal directories, including being globally ranked in Chambers and recognised as a leading individual in The Legal 500. I also have an active international arbitration practice, appearing as counsel as well as sitting as arbitrator. I also serve on the Board of Directors of the Singapore International Arbitration Centre (SIAC) and as a member of its Board Executive Committee. I am a Fellow of both the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (CIArb), the Singapore Institute of Arbitrators (SIArb) and the Singapore Academy of Law (SAL). I believe passionately in the benefits of mediation in helping resolve disputes and have participated in mediated settlements of a wide range of disputes, both as counsel as as mediator. I am a member of the Specialist Mediator Panel (Singapore) of the Singapore International Mediation Centre (SIMC).My practice is international in nature and my clients include corporations and individuals from the US, the UK, Europe (particularly Russia, Germany and France), Asia (particularly China and India) and South-east Asia (particularly Indonesia, Malaysia, Vietnam and the Philippines). Outside of practice, I serve as a civilian panel member of the Military Court of Appeal and as Deputy Commissioner of the Government Procurement Adjudication Tribunal.
