The TV Studio Crew class introduces participants to the fundamental crew positions, technical tools and process of creating television programming in the TV studio environment. Participants will learn how to operate studio cameras, audio equipment, lighting, graphics, TelePrompter and video switching devices. The workshop also covers topics such as directing, floor managing and producing.The television studio producing and planning workshop is an intensive 4-week course that helps members learn the proper procedures for submitting studio production project plans, creating production rundowns, reserving and checking out studio production equipment, and hosting guests in the studio.Parts of this workshop focus on best practices for recruiting certified crew members and building an efficient production team. Members must complete this course if they plan to recruit a crew and use the main studio equipment to create a program that will run on PhillyCAM.

With emphasis on Medial Literacy Education, for our young generation, Project S.T.E.A.M. tv is a 501 (c)(3)Non Profit that is managed by independent producers and directors in Philadelphia with a vision to make the Arts a more important aspect of a students learning world. Over the past years S.T.E.M. (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) has been implemented into the school system. However, we realize how important the arts is especially as it relates to audio/visual production and media literacy. While Project S.T.E.A.M. understands how important art is we are also in support of our youth grasping the many concepts of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics. We encourage them to explore these careers. With the assistance of our partners we will achieve our vision.Project S.T.E.A.M. TV recognizes that the inclusion of the visual is an essential part of the process of not only creating the next generation of scientists, engineers, and mathematicians, but also in cultivating well-rounded human beings. Each individual aspect of the S.T.E.A.M. acronym is necessary in order to excel in the other fields. It is our hope that by encouraging students to express themselves through all manner of their skillset and interests that Project S.T.E.A.M. may encourage a generation of imaginative thinkers with the capability to innovate, create, and cultivate their dreams.
