I worked as the Assistant Manager/ Full time Lead Key Holder. My duties included running a team, customer service, keeping up with seasonal changes of clothing, scheduling a team, signing off on payroll, dealing with Garda for bank deposits and coin orders, and keeping up with Covid protocols which meant sanitizing high tough areas multiple times a day.

I have worked for 4 different owners, and worked at 10 different restaurants for Tim Hortons (Between 3 owners). I started off as a Team Member and worked my way up to Baker, then Supervisor. Here I gained excellent customer service skills, had to deal with customers whom were not always the friendliest, yet I still tried to put a smile on their face, even if it was making them a cup of yogurt to their liking, or making their coffee perfectly to the point where it felt like a little piece of heaven. I managed a team while keeping up with the cleanliness of the store, time and temps, freshness of product, cashing out/ balancing tills and of course while serving my loyal customers.

This was usually volunteer work, sometimes I was paid, although with this job I did meal prep, cleaned their homes, ran errands for them (This varied from getting grocery's, paying bills, or even getting lottery tickets and cigarettes' for whom ever I was helping), even did laundry, prepped their coffee for the next morning. And would leave making sure their was a smile on their face.

While working Victoria Pie Company, I learned how to make Pies, pastry and soup from scratch, I was in charge of payroll, running a small team, ordering product for the store, as well as customer service. I had to open up shop one day a week, while the rest I closed which meant cashing out the tills at the end of night, making sure the store was cleaned for the next morning, and making sure everything was locked up. On opening shifts I would start off with turning on the oven's getting the pies ready for when we opened and balancing the tills, while getting the deposits ready for pick up by the owner.

Working at 7- Eleven, I would order product for the store, balance the tills and do "the count" (which means count all the tobacco products, bus tickets, Buss Passes and Day Passes, then finally count the tills). I did customer service as well as trained new employees, and had to regularly check for personal Identification regarding all products that were 18+ ( This includes adult magazines, Tobacco products, lighters and lighter fluid). I had to keep up with the cleanliness of the store, make coffee on a regular basis as well as other hot food products.

At the time I was the youngest in this field. My duties included bringing cash to the tills when they were low, balancing tills, doing Deposits through Garda, doing coin orders, closing down all the tills at the end of the night.
