I have studied international business and management but quickly grew fond of data science and analysis when I started to work on my Bachelor thesis at Siemens in Berlin. During that time I was able to learn a lot about Excel and VBA and started to build my own tools that could automatically process data or calculate reliability indices for Siemens products.After finishing my studies I moved back to the lovely city Amsterdam and took the opportunity to work for Saleduck, an affiliate publisher. There I started to again build Excel and Google Sheet tools to help the team analyse their data, but it didn't take long until Spreadsheets and Excel were no longer an option due to the sizes of the data sets. Because of that I familiarised myself with databases and tools like Data Studio.After working with affiliate links and affiliate data for 10 months I finally cracked the puzzle of how to integrate affiliate sales data into Google Analytics and together with a dear colleague we built a solution that does exactly that. It wasn't perfect at first and we had to overcome a lot of issues to get to a sales data coverage of above 95%.Once we reached that we decided to found We Can Track in order to help affiliate publishers integrate their sales data in the marketing tools they use. This is not just about data collection and reporting, but about data attribution and campaign automation! Our clients are finally able to get their conversion data into their paid ads tools, which enables them to make use of their machine learning and automatic bid adjustments. The list of opportunities that come with a solution like this seems endless and every day we get new ideas that will make the lives of online publishers easier.I can't wait to see where this journey takes me and I am looking forward to work with so many creative and inspiring entrepreneurs!
