Coalesced Renaissances Downtowns, Town Southampton, and stakeholders to develop a Riverside Overlay District (ROD) representative of the community redevelopment vision. The adopted ROD provides a smart, compact mix development that includes 2400 housing units (1400 Workforce Housing). Organized the community to lobby County Legislature to reallocate 5 million dollars into the 2016 Capital Budget for traffic circle improvements. I had opportunity to work with key stakeholders to secure $900,000 for priority programs identified by the community. Lead Community Health Survey to inform waterfront park while addressing environmental justice issues.

Directed four critical components of South Central Youth Empower Thru Action (SCYEA): campaigns, organizing, academics, and wellness. Supported member-driven campaigns and organizing strategies to secure innovative education reforms that included: Dropout Prevention, Intervention and Recovery Programs Comprehensive Mental Wellness Programs Health Career Linked Learning Academy Revamped academic and wellness programming, a national model for youth engagement. Supervised five staff members and two interns that worked weekly with 200 members.Successfully managed “Our Future, Our Fremont” campaign that resulted in a public commitment from LAUSD Superintendent Ramon Cortines in support of community-driven school reforms.Played leadership a role in more than ten collaborations that included non-profits, public policy groups, and funders. Manage funder relationships to help grow SCYEA’s budget.I worked closely with the Development Director on new proposals and grant reporting.
