About J. Jason Smith

As if hell-bent on making myself unemployable, I have spent my career traveling the country (and world) gathering experience, skills and insights on what it takes to be an effective creative leader. Looking back, I feel fortunate to have assembled a truly unique backstory based on following not just opportunity, but tackling tough challenges and taking calculated risks. I am proud to have packed 40 or 50 years of rebellion into my 25+ year search for worthwhile projects. After leading teams of all sizes, winning over clients of all sorts, and earning accolades from all over — I decided to stop building agencies for others and instead start building a home that better reflected my values and better personified the principles necessary for answering the toughest problems with the most interesting answers. In 2015, I started Magnetry and began to assemble a talented team of wonderful humans all pledging allegiance to craft, concept, courage, and creativity.
