I became passionate about the product/ UX design field when I was looking for ways to combine my extensive experience in social science research, my knowledge of the marketing field and my interest in technological advances, to make a lasting positive impact on the way businesses interact with their customers and remain competitive in their markets.I acquired a Complete Web & Mobile Designer: UI/UX, Figma, +more certificate from the Udemy Zero to Mastery online tech school. I then took on online design challenges and self-designed case studies that would challenge my skills and display my growth in industry relevant skills. These can be found in my portfolio. I also consulted various industry experts, mostly on LinkedIn, for advice on ways to improve my work over the years. I also have excellent skills in social science research, using both qualitative and quantitative methods of research. After acquiring my masters degree in political science, participated on numerous research projects with World Aware, the Water Research Commission (WRC) and EXEBUS.
