Senior Project Development Officer
CurrentResponsible for the management of careers and employability projects for the City Lions Programme - WCC’s flagship youth engagement project. Managing relationships with over 50 businesses, local schools, youth services and young people to create, manage and deliver projects that have real impact:- Project manage the design and delivery of the City Lions mentoring programme that supports over 50 mentor pairs per year. This includes start-end delivery, creating the programmes content, recruiting young people and mentors, facilitating training and providing ongoing support to mentor pairs, hosting events, undertaking evaluation, managing risk, impact reporting and continuous improvement.- Responsible for brokering and ongoing management of City Lions partners, which include over 100 businesses and cultural organisations.- Horizon scan the education, employment and youth sectors, and relevant policy,to work with local partners to quickly respond to challenges and opportunities, ensuring young peoples voices are central.- Regularly pitch, present and deliver workshops to a variety of audiences, including school leaders, businesses, political members and young people to gain their buy-in and engage with CL opportunities.- Managing and motivating two direct reports, supporting them to over-achieve on their objectives and develop their careers.
