Significant achievements include:- Recovery of engine delivery performance, allowing the engine output to grow from 250 large engines per annum to 650 engines per annum. A Group recognition award was received for this work - Recruitment of c. 200 skilled blue collar workers in Derby, and 150 in Singapore - Reduction in training lead time from c. 120 days to c. 60 days - Focus on improving leadership and organisation effectiveness to drive performance improvement- Reduction of management headcount by 22% in 9 months- Negotiation of landmark trade union deal to secure £300m investment, in exchange for significant improvement in working practices to increase productivity and to support stable output growth - Creation and execution of an employee relations plan that saw us close / rationalise 15 sites, whilst investing in others and creating new capacity – total investment c. £1.5bn, enabling business growth and reducing cost base by c. £300m per annum - Influencing executive steering group to make long term investment decisions - Creation of excellent working environment with the European Works Council- Partnered with local Israeli management to successfully deliver TU recognition, in a difficult position with the JV partner- Led a project to increase productivity within one of our engine programmes, achieving a 10% productivity improvement, through an approach to generate high performing teams- Led the people work stream to offload an engine assembly programme to a new facility.- Implemented a tool and process to increase flexibility in our factories, that delivered £178m NPV (10 year) savings within 12 months- Developed a best practice handbook for the creation of greenfield facilities
