Tshwane Tourism Association (TTA) is an umbrella association in Tshwane disseminating information and connecting business, government, residents and visitors on tourism related matters. My role was to support the association by ensuring efficient communication between the members, the board and stakeholders. I also ensured that there are relationships built and developed with local, provincial and national government authorities which were maintained to ensure mutual and reciprocal benefits for the various tourism member products whilst promoting the City of Tshwane as a tourism destination.

Tourism Kwazulu-Natal is a DMO responsible for the development, promotion and marketing of tourism into and within the province. My role entailed ensuring that the CEO's office activities were efficiently handled at all times. Ensuring that the CEO was prepared for reporting, presenting when attending the National and Provincial structures portfolios and committee meetings including the Cabinet Lekgotla. This was a learning experience which helped improve my skills in compiling reports, memorandums and various activities.

My duties entailed dissimilating information to domestic and international tourists about the province; managing brochure displays, assist tourists and visitors with queries regarding KZN and keep records of enquiries by means of statistic sheet which are compiled daily, weekly and monthly for the Tourism Research and Knowledge Department.

My first encounter working in the corporate environment was experienced at Tourism-Kwazulu-Natal as an intern. I learnt and acquired plenty experience through the various units within the organization. Within the Tourism Development unit I worked and assisted in two portfolios Project Management: Product Development and Business Development: Transformation including administration,hosting of tourism trade and stakeholders,destination familiarization trips and educational tours, compiling of departmental Weekly, CEO and Quarterly reports, updating SMME database and assisted in conducting tourism awareness workshops among other responsibilities.
