Duties performed but not limited to the following:·Ensure compliance with relevant legislations such as OHS Act 85 of 1993, Mine Health and safety Act 29 of 1996, NEMA, policies and procedures by conducting internal audits and inspections.·Advice the employer and contractors in the matters related to SHE within the scope of work.·Ensure adherence to SHE and other requirements. ·Ensure effective management of COVID-19.·Ensure effective implementation of the health and safety management system on site.·Conduct induction and relevant training to the employees.·Ensure effective communication of SHE issues.·Ensure that all reported incidents are properly investigated and actions closed out.·Participate on review of risk assessments, method statements and safe work procedures.·Ensure compliance on the health and safety specification of the client.·Ensure the permit is signed by the relevant personnel before task commence.·Conduct tool box talk and ensure daily safety task instruction has been done.·Conduct SHE inspection to ensure adherence to the SHE systems and legislations.·Monitor the ISO 45001 management systems to ensure effectiveness.·Ensure all legal appointments are in place, valid and filed.·Facilitate allocated contractors and approval of their SHE files.·Scheduling and auditing supervisor’s workbook and contractor’s SHE files for compliance.Participate on review of policies, standards and
