1. The essence of my role as Senior Solution Designer is the conversion of business requirements into solution design that will become the blueprint for a solution being created for Transnet SOC Ltd.2. The role is responsible for the development of the overall vision that underlies the projected solution and transforms that vision through execution into applications solutions.3. Through the performance of the necessary leadership, analysis and design tasks related to the development of a pragmatic solution design that solves the business challenges and/or captures the business opportunity.The roles entails:1. Expanding Transnet SOC Ltd's use of data, systems and application as a strategic enabler of company goals and objectives by engaging in Senior Management/Senior level business decision makers discussions related to business values and business processes;2. Advocating the principles of information technology strategies to development team leaders so that they accept the architecture and know how the pieces will fit together at a high-level;3. Leading the identification and analysis of enterprise business drivers to derive useful business context and determine corresponding changes and change requirements;4. Promoting the solution architecture process, its outcome and on-going results to the organization including the Group ICT & business leaders to maintain cohesion between the various parts of the design and encourage simplicity;5. Defining the governing principles to guide solution decisions for enterprise architecture through leading and facilitating sessions with the relevant stakeholders to get ideas and buy-in; and6. Designing and leading the implementation of business requirements so that it confirms to Transnet ICT strategies by providing senior technical leadership to translation of the customer's business requirements into technical specifications across a broad range of technology domains aligned to Transnet ICT strategies.

Responsibility Overview:1. Providing strategic and tactical support to the General Manager ICT overseeing and monitoring technology and digital strategic projects across Transnet to provide realization of the required strategic impact and business results (i.e. Transnet E-Tenders System, etc).2. Strategically interfacing with business for the purpose of facilitating business-ICT Digital strategy development, solution discovery, service management, risk management, relationships and project portfolio management, as well as application data support.3. Promoting and managing the adoption of enabling digital analytics technology, capabilities and tools to enable Transnet to gain advanced business insights and data analytics in order to improve business and management decision making.4. Ensuring that proper/adequate processes are implemented to maintain and sustain the quality of data across Transnet.5. Establishing and maintaining testing and quality assurance processes to ensure high quality data insights, including collaboration with subject matter experts across the enterprise to understand and utilize data sources.6. Analyzing and leveraging knowledge of behavioral data to generate meaningful insights, document data and reporting requirements.7. Working collaboratively with with various stakeholders to create detailed business analysis that outlines problems, opportunities and solutions for the business. 8. Supporting senior team members on ad hoc analyses and presentations.

The knowledge management systems is to be developed to the intelligence level which enables information manipulation for problem solving through an internal search engine.2. Establishment and Management of a Transnet Group Capital Innovation Hub which enables the employees to have a platform to share & implement business improvement ideas. 3. Manage the Development of automated business solutions to improve efficiencies across the Transnet Capital Operating Model interfaces. 4. In line with the Transnet Strategic thrust of becoming Digital, Manage the development of the digital solutions to enable real-time decision making.5. Develop and implement a Transnet Group Captial Digital strategy in support of the Transnet 4.0 strategy. 6. Benchmarking of best practice systems and tools to support the Transnet Capital Operating Model implementation across Transnet.
