My career in construction started very early during my primary and high school days in Kwa Zulu Natal, when I would visit my father in Durban during school holiday’s and he would take me every morning to construction sites where he has been working as he ran a mid-size construction company. Once on site I used to have a lot of fun….., neither by caring tool’s and passing equipment to and from people who were working on site, most of the times I would try and read the building plans that they were working with and I could able to understand the plan very well , this prompted many of the people I used to work with to suggest that I followed a career in construction.After 4 years studying at University of Johannesburg formerly known as (TWR) I worked for various architectural firms in Johannesburg ( A3 Architects, Bentel International Architects, AMA Architects as a Senior architectural technologist, here I was a detailing and Revit specialist, I worked on projects such as Maponya Mall, Northgate, Centurion Lake, Woodlands mall, Benmore Garden malls.March 2013 I joined WSP Group in as a senior draughtsperson / architectural technologist.I believe that I had an unfair advantage having worked or came across many influential individuals who made me to be what I am today
