To put myself into perspective, I'm a very flexible specialist engineer, and have focused on making tomorrow a better place, one step at a time!As you can see from my profile, I have an engineering and education background, but I am fortunate to be able to call on a myriad of experience to enhance my capabilities and understanding across a variety of roles with a high degree of flexibility and a dedicated work ethic.My work prior to working in a professional setting and as a research specialist was primarily focused towards development of smart functionality within future composite structures, in efforts to change the methodology and holistic approach of materials and structural design. I worked towards highlighting the changes in understanding within practical design and implementation through introducing CNRP applications within traditional composite structures, allowing a material to do more than be a structural component.Through my career, I have shown a capacity to apply myself to areas outside of my specialisation to deliver results, having assisted on an H2020 project involving metallic components, conducted rapid testing for clients under consultation, worked across departments on cross field sensory techniques, assisted and partly supervised undergraduate projects, and represented both universities at high profile conferences and conventions.I am not afraid to look outside of the box to find an answer to questions raised. With my experience in critical analysis I look at problems with a focus on both a process and outcomes to deliver compatible solutions.I'm comfortable working alone or as part of a team, and I'm always looking to learn and improve where I can, to not only perform as a functional team member, but to continue to develop and blossom as a professional and a person.
