The healthcare industry has always been a part of my life. My mother worked as a doctor, a clinic director, and eventually a medical director at a major healthcare insurance corporation. She has always been a role model to me. I had a passion for mental health, which led me to become a mental health practitioner - a social worker. Similar to my mother, I also have interests in business administration. I pursued a career in management consulting, where I still work today. I gained experience in healthcare management, operations, and strategy. I have both the experience of being a provider, and the experience of managing the business. I use this duality in corporate consulting, to improve healthcare organizations ranging from local community providers to national corporations. I have 15 years of experience working with health insurance payors, federal, state and local payors (Medicare & Medicaid), pharmacy benefits management plans, and hospital systems. I improve organizations by: implementing process improvements, strategizing on business decisions, and conducting financial and organizational analysis. I manage engagements by setting scopes, budgets, billings, staff resources, and coordination of client deliverables.Complimenting those skills, is my strength: personal rapport building and client relationship skills. This leads to the successful adoption of changes. Most rewarding is to see the transformation within an individual and within a corporation. This is my passion.
