It exists to support Victoria's key emergency services including Victoria Police, Melbourne Fire Brigade, Country Fire Authority, Ambulance Victoria, State Emergency Services and Forest Fire Vic. Operating as a trust ESF provides immediate support for those who suffer hardship as a result of the death of a family member or injuries sustained in the line of duty as an emergency services worker or volunteer. The Foundation also provides educational scholarships to members of the industry and conducts activities such as the annual Emergency Management Conference and Volunteer Leaders Forum to increase understanding of the issues that challenge emergency services personnel. Since its inception there has been immense change, reform and refocus within the emergency management sector and the organisation is ready and keen to improve and expand how it operates in order to go to the next level. My role is to provide leadership and strategic oversight to guide the organisation through this period of transformation. -

This role is enabling me to utilise my communications, stakeholder relations and project management skills. The priorities of my role are:* To deliver a forum for hospital staff from across Victoria to share learnings from the SHRFV project and best practice in identifying and responding to family violence and case studies from health services about what they’re doing in this space. * To prepare a tool kit of resources and communications support materials in line with a sensitive enquiry service model that can be utilised in hospital settings across Victoria This includes a comprehensive market testing process.
