CurrentPromoted from Assistant Vice President to Vice President, and now serving as General Manager, my journey at Jurong Port has been marked by leading strategic initiatives, overseeing major capital projects, and driving operational excellence. One of my significant achievements includes initiating and leading the Ready-Mixed Concrete Ecosystem project, a crucial national initiative for Singapore's Western region. Managing up to $200 million in Capex projects, I enhanced the port's operational capacities and sustainability practices.Key projects include the first overseas greenfield port project at Marunda, Jakarta, and pioneering sustainability initiatives such as the world’s largest solar installation in a port. I have also led significant operational improvements, from managing bulk cargo operations to implementing automation and productivity enhancements.Key Responsibilities:• Led the Ready-Mixed Concrete Ecosystem project in collaboration with JTC and BCA.• Oversaw Capex projects worth up to $200 million, enhancing infrastructure and sustainability.• Directed improvements in project and contract management practices.• Managed the first overseas greenfield port project at Marunda, Jakarta.• Pioneered sustainability initiatives, including Green Mark certifications and major solar projects.• Organized and led an overseas study trip with MPA and consultants on Green Port development.Operations and Logistics:• Oversaw discharge and conveyance of over 5 million tons of bulk cargo/raw materials annually.• Managed the world’s largest multi-user cement terminal, handling 8 million tons of cargo.• Established a new Combi terminal business, serving both container and general cargo customers.• Achieved record performances and operational efficiencies, exceeding corporate scorecard targets for FY15.• Implemented automation and productivity initiatives to reduce manpower costs.
