Leading a team to help make universal healthcare a reality in San Francisco.My team supports the software product management, data management, user experience, reporting and evaluation needs for Healthy San Francisco, SF City Option and the SFHP Service Center, programs that serve over 500,000 individuals and steward $1+ Billion in funds. We champion an equitable, user-centric, and modern approach to technology in local government.

I oversaw Elation's Care Quality initiatives, where I developed and executed strategies to improve patient health outcomes and provider quality program scores through Elation's electronic health record software.I led a cross-functional team to build a comprehensive software infrastructure to calculate, monitor, report, and prompt clinical action for clinical quality measures for Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial quality programs. Additionally, we built multiple clinical workflows for physicians and care teams to increase cancer screening rates and improve chronic disease care.

Provided strategy and day-to-day management of a consumer marketplace focused on reused and recycled goods. We aimed to make it easier to buy, sell, and give away used items as a way to reduce carbon emissions from the manufacturing process. In this role, I helped with rapid prototyping, user acquisition research, analysis of new business models, and exploration of new technology such as chatbots and image-based search.

As a PM at Ginger.io, I focused on using technology to help people with depression and anxiety. I led development of new features focused on clinical outcomes, user engagement and acquisition, and monetization for a mental health mobile app.Some of my favorite projects include:- Building games and activities based on cognitive behavioral and mindfulness based therapy for depression; Our average patient helpfulness rating was >85%- Leading rapid iteration and hypothesis testing for new product lines, including chat-based therapy, wellness coaching, and mindfulness education- Reducing the cost of acquisition from $400/user to $8/user via analysis and execution of new user funnels, landing pages, and Adwords- Creating a recruiting and research platform for digital clinical studies- Overseeing scale-up of company’s largest direct-to-consumer product from 250 to 150,000 sign-ups

Acting primary investigator and day-to-day manager for a 1000-person randomized control study to demonstrate effectiveness of our digital health app. I also managed the use of the app in 15+ clinical research studies with partner institutions including UCSF, Stanford, and Harvard.

Scaled online training products 3x for MEASURE Evaluation, a USAID project. Wrote guidelines for an international coaching and mentoring program focused on analytical and evaluation skill development. Created presentations, new project briefings, and decision-making tools on subjects ranging from family planning to HIV prevention.

I led efforts to improve the management and scientific rigor of the department’s program evaluation, metrics analysis and quality improvement projects. Created new Excel-based databases, dashboards and decision-making tools to ensure efficient tracking, analysis, and reporting of key performance indicators, and helped the department adopt industry standard evaluation methods.I also provided direct project management on capacity building/health workforce education projects focused on improving data use at government clinics. Additionally, I was selected for Global Health Corps fellowship as one of 90 fellows out of a pool of 4,000 to participate in advanced leadership training.

I performed qualitative interviews with local nonprofits in Bolivia and Ecuador and wrote case studies to be featured on the Center for Health Market Innovations web portal, so that other implementers, funders, and researchers could learn about best practices on the ground. I also completed other writing projects, including analyses of the Bolivian and Ecuadorian national health systems.

I volunteered weekly as a telephone hotline counselor at non-profit pro-choice reproductive health organization, and developed strong listening and facilitation skills.

Created and managed trilingual county-wide health education programs that surpassed outreach goals by over 50%. Wrote grant proposals that netted an additional 135K above department goals. Developed multiple partnerships with local government, nonprofits, and business community. Supervised team of 2.
