I headed up the management training division at Mercia. We supported firms and accountancy networks to identify management, leadership and personal development training needs and deliver support (coaching, consultancy, workshops and away days) which were aligned to their departmental and firmwide objectives. I designed and presented a wide range of interactive / experiential sessions to the accountancy and legal professions throughout the UK. I worked mainly within professional practices, supporting teams (graduates up to partner level) helping to develop their non-technical skills. I helped clients to better understand and adapt their behaviours to improve personal productivity and effectiveness, emotional intelligence and practice performance. I also hosted the Mercia Wellbeing Podcast - an informative chat with guest speakers on all things wellbeing and self- care.

I have worked with AAT in various examining, moderator and subject matter expert positions.My main consultancy roles included:- Examiner of the Level 2 Computerised Accounting assessment- Examiner of the Level 4 Business Tax assessment- Moderator of the Level 3 Payroll Systems unit- Writer and moderator of various business, taxation and accounting articles for Informi - a business support website for small and medium sized entities

I was an examination marker for both T10 Managing Finances (of the CAT syllabus) and then F5 Performance Management (Professional stage of main syllabus).I was also part of the innovation team that helped ACCA move from paper based exam marking to online marking using Scoris software. I formed part of the testing and feedback team.
