Portfolio's Managed- ACTThe aim of RC Rag and Kovscom is to activate the participation of residence members in community interaction and development programmes, either organised by the residence itself, Kovscom or the Rag office and mediate initiatives where students will raise funds on their own initiative towards residence programmes contributing to community development. Duties include:- The RC Rag and Kovscom is elected earlier than the rest of the RC to allow the incumbent to embark timeously on securing sponsorships and planning Rag activities. -The RC Rag and Kovscom must establish and coordinate the RAG and KOVSCOM Committees, and their activities, and is responsible for all such activities. -It is expected of the RC Rag and Kovscom to obtain sponsors who will lend financial support to the residence. A budget has to be drawn up, and sound control must be in place. -The RC Rag and Kovscom must inform the residence concerning the activities and motivate them to participate. -In collaboration with the RAG Committee, the RC Rag and Kovscom promotes liaison and social exchanges between the RAG residences. -The RC Rag and Kovscom must consider ways of increasing the community development programme participation among members of the residence, by organising with Kovscom, other residences and societies, community interaction programmes that are easily accessible to students. -The RC Rag and Kovscom must consider ways of increasing awareness regarding social and community issues among residence members such as through poster campaigns, visiting speakers, etc. -The RC Rag and Kovscom must be willing and seek opportunities to run programmes with other residences within the college and with other UFS residences. -The RC Rag and Kovscom must table a written portfolio report every term to the RC and the Residence Head, of which a copy thereof must be provided to the office of the Assistant Director: Housing & Residence Affairs.

Portfolio Managed- Environmental AffairsThe RC Environmental Affairs aim to ensure that all residence members are informed about the programme and activities relating to environmental affairs, energy-saving and Green Initiative and that the residence members are informed and aware of environmental issues. Duties The RC Environmental Affairs must work with all RC members to disseminate information and notices effectively to residence members regarding all residence activities. Establish and co-ordinating environmental awareness programmes in the residence, such as regarding saving of energy, protecting the environment on campus, etc. The RC Environmental Affairs must implement processes within the residence that benefits the environment, such as recycling of refuse. The RC Environmental Affairs must ensure cleanliness and welcoming facilities in the residence in consultation with the RC Breakages and Maintenance. The RC Environmental Affairs must be willing and seek opportunities to run programmes with other residences within the college and with other UFS residences. The RC Environmental Affairs must table a written portfolio report every term to the RC and the Residence Head, of which a copy thereof must be provided to the office of the Assistant Director: Housing & Residence Affairs.

Portfolio Managed - CollegesIt is the aim of the RC Colleges is to participate in all College initiatives and work closely with the College Prime and other RC Colleges within the College.Duties The RC College serves as the College Executive and accounts to the College Council Work closely with the College Prime and other RC Colleges within the College Responsible for creating learning communities within the College To create access for students to engage in various co-curriculum activities Collaborate with CTL to promote learning skills for students in their residence by attending this special event in a College Encourage students to participate in all College organised activities i.e Health and Wellness Depending on the role in the executive, RC Colleges and the College Primes are accountable to the College Council and College Coordinator The RC College collaborate with GateWay office with regards to the gateway programme The RC College must table a written portfolio report every term to the RC and the Residence Head, of which a copy thereof must be provided to the office of the Assistant Director: Housing & Residence Affairs.

Facilitating Corridor 8 (also known as Wall Street)- ensuring corridor and House values are incorporated- ensuring cleanness in the corridor- being a link between the RC and members of the corridor- being the captain during the annual Beyers Week- reporting of breakages within the corridor- working closely with the Prime with regards to ensuring that the residence values best practised- working closely with the Vice-Prime with issues of Discipline within the residence- passing on information from RC to the corridor- ensuring the corridor members are happy within the space they live in- creating a space for personal growth and bonding sessions
