I have extensive experience in development projects, especially in the humanitarian-development arena. I have been working both at the community and national level in implementing projects of small and large scale, mainly with local and international non-governmental organizations. I have a strong focus on building resilience, climate change, disaster management, and project management, a passion for the environment and the sustainable management of social and natural resources. I have done stakeholder analysis, research, fact-finding missions, and meetings and workshops for national stakeholders. I have supported developmental agencies on information gathering and proposal development support. I am open to short-term engagement in these areas.I have founded the first and only community foundation in the Maldives - to help the most vulnerable segments of society and support the development of Maldivians in terms of capacity building, education, creating awareness and financial assistance. At the same time, we at MCF aim to contribute to the development and strengthening of fundraising, good governance, accountability and professionalism of the Maldives' non-governmental sector. We hope to be the premier philanthropic hub for the country, where we link the charitable aspirations of individuals, corporations and the government to the implementing partners.
