I volunteered to work as captain for 2 years despite having no prior experience because I was eager to take on a leadership role and contribute to the team’s success. I saw it as an opportunity to grow, learn, and develop new skills, even though I was stepping into uncharted territory. My enthusiasm and commitment drove me to lead by example, and I quickly adapted to the responsibilities of guiding and supporting my teammates. Taking on this challenge was a pivotal moment in my journey, as it taught me the value of stepping out of my comfort zone and embracing new opportunities. As the Netball Captain for two years, I led our team to significant success both on and off the court. My responsibilities included:Leadership: I ensured that each player felt valued and respected, fostering an environment where teamwork and mutual support were paramount. I emphasized discipline, which helped maintain focus during training and matches. Team Coordination: I organized and led practice sessions, ensuring that our strategies were well-practiced and that every team member understood their role. After winning, I led the initiative to donate our prize money to the school to support students who couldn’t afford school uniforms.
