As a Data Scientist at Liberty Mutual, I apply cutting-edge machine learning techniques to help auditing legal service invoices. I use BERT, a state-of-the-art natural language processing model, to classify text documents and extract relevant information. I also modify the end-to-end pipeline using Luigi, a Python framework for workflow management, and train and evaluate models on AWS EC2 instances.In my PhD dissertation, I developed joint modeling methods to analyze electronic health record (EHR) data and specifically related to Diabetic Retinopathy, an irreversible disease caused by Diabetes. I have also completed multiple online courses and certifications in neural networks and deep learning from Coursera and Kaggle, and have experience as a graduate teaching assistant at two universities. My research interests include survival analysis, longitudinal analysis, and machine learning. I am passionate about finding data-driven solutions to real-world problems and improving the quality of life and health outcomes for people.
