Astom Courier Services is a Courier company established in 1991, and has since emerged as one of the leading freight specialists in South Africa. What started off as a struggling start-up in a small office in Braamfontien now services all regional and International destinations. The company was founded by the Late Nathan Mzondi Motha who modelled his operations on the principles of family value. The success of Astom Courier Services can be attributed to the commitment and devotion of the Motha family through personal sacrifices each member made. Mr Motha believed in the importance of legacy thus his sons would on weekends and during school holidays, earn pocket money by working at the family business whilst in the process learning the operations of the business. After his passing Astom Courier Services managed to remain functional, and still retain its loyal clients as the succession by new MD Mr Sizwe Motha (son) was seamless due to growing up working in the family business with hands-on experience.Astom services all areas local and international and where we do not have offices we utilise Freight Agents who to act on our behalf. Astom courier services operate exclusively as a retailer in freight / courier business, it is for this reason that all collections and deliveries are done on the relevant stationery known as a Waybill. The company prides itself in timely delivery for clients, understanding and adapting to continuous change in the global courier industry and it has emerged as a tough competitor against some of the most established companies with more years’ experience in the field.
