After more than a decade as CEO of Scotty's Little Soldiers I am working with the board to develop a succession plan which will see us recruit a new Chief Executive, and for me to begin the search for a new challenge, whilst also joining the board to ensure maximum continuity. We have built Scotty's from scratch, taking it through several evolutions as it grew into the nation's charity for bereaved British Forces families. We've done that by curating a culture we are proud of, which balances both our non-negotiable values and behaviours, alongside performance and fulfilment. Not one to remain in my comfort zone for too long (10 years feels like the right time!), I am now looking for an opportunity to apply what I have learnt over the past decade in the non-profit sector, combined with my previous experience in the for-profit world, to help a new team with its own growth plans. I believe in achieving goals by developing high performing teams with strong values, and thrive on opportunities to innovate and push boundaries. I love doing things differently to the norm (if you do the same as everyone else how can you differentiate?).I am interested in leadership opportunities within dynamic organisations that are ready to grow, either as CEO, or Chief of Staff to a Founder CEO who needs help with their next phase of growth. I'd love to hear from organisations that have purpose beyond profit at their core.

My role is focused on helping to develop a sustainable charity which will be able to provide long-term support to every bereaved Forces child in the UK. This will mean all our bereaved Service families having: 1. Access to the very best health and well-being support.2. Outstanding development opportunities.3. The chance to smile again.I'm proud of the foundations we've laid down so far but our work is only just beginning. 98% of the bereaved Service families we spoke to told us that support significantly drops off a year following a death in service. We owe it to our fallen heroes to #HelpTheirChildrenSmile Show less -
